Lighting designer, light artist and researcher
Graduated with a degree in Performing Arts-Theatre (2015) from the University of Strasbourg, as well as the Creation and Production program (2018) from the National Theater School of Canada, Claire Seyller is an artist who has chosen the light as a primary medium. Since her arrival in Québec, she has assisted various light designers in theatre, dance and music, such as Alexandre Pilon-Guay (Virginie Brunelle, Estelle Clareton), Renaud Pettigrew (Bellflower, Fanny Bloom) and Cédric Delorme-Bouchard (Les BJM , The Theater of Two Worlds). She is currently pursuing a master's degree in artistic practices at UQAM, exploring the notion of circular collaboration.
Inspired and trained through collective creation in European visual and performing arts, Claire is passionate about multidisciplinary processes. It is by forging an expertise in lighting while integrating herself into the next generation of Quebec artists that Claire questions herself in particular about the artistic collaborative dynamics within university research. Navigating between theatre, dance and performance, she is a faithful collaborator of artists and companies such as Charles-Alexis Desgagnés (Personne Danse), Satellite Théâtre, Théâtre Kata, Grand Poney and Mayday.
